Simply Scrappin Class
Friday March 27th 7:00-10:00pm
For this class you will pick your favorite simply scrappin kit that stampin up offers and create 10 scrapbook pages. 5-2 page coordinating layouts. I will precut and pre-design the basic layout, you will come and assemble and add your own personal touches. You will leave with 10 photo ready 12 X 12 pages and lots of extra embellishments (yep left over even after you have embellished your pages!) Better yet you will see how you can customize any scrappin kit to fit the 4 basic layouts I have designed. You will get all layouts and measurement guides so you can recreate these layouts in a new way at home over and over again. You must RSVP with payment early for this class in order to get the kits here on time. RSVP no later that March 22nd. You will be registered when I receive your class fee of $35. Class fee includes your choice of simply scrappin kit and all ribbon and extra papers needed to create your pages as well as everything being precut and ready to assemble!
Here are pictures of the layouts we will be making, remember unless you choose the Hoppy Memory kit your pages colors and embellishments will be different but the layouts will be the same! I have added 1 mystery 2 page 12 X12 layout that you won't get to see until that night!
I hope you can make it!

Scalloped Envelope Box and mini cards

We made this darling little box using the Big Shot scallop envelope die. Yes you can use it for something other than envelopes! (See my Big Shot class post for yet another way it was used) Inside the cello bag with the Top Note Die topper are 3 3 X 3 cards and envelopes.
We used the new Cheep Talk set for the cards and the Tea Part Designer paper. So cute isn't it?

Top Note Treat Box Tutorial

Top Note Treat Box Tutorial
Start with a 6 X 11 piece of paper.
Score 11" side at 4.5 and 6.5
Score 6" side at 1.5 and 4.5Cut on the 4 long score lines. Place teh 6" side of paper along the top of your cutter and follow the score lines to the center score line.

With the 11" side at the top of your cutter carefully cut off 2 inches from each long flap you just made.

Scallop edge punch the top 2 edges. Optional: scallop edge punch along the sides as well. Slot punch each of the top 2 edges.

Assemble the box by folding the four flaps up and in and attaching tem together with sticky strip.

Fold the wo large flaps up which become the front and back of your box. Attach your decorater top nots to the front and the back pieces. Be sure not to put adhesive around the slot punch as you will need to thread your ribbon though that to tie the box closed.

Now go make some treat boxes! And be sure to show me what you have made!

Spring Flowers

Nothing says Spring like the sight of sprigs coming up from the ground. I always notice when that first bit of green pops through my dirt and I know my Spring Flowers are on their way! To bring a little Spring inside though I made this adorable pot of flowers using Stampin Up's die cut blooms and circle punches. To make it extra special I punched out pictures of my precious little Zach to decorate the centers of my flowers. It cheers me up every time I look at it! This is my entry for the SoShelli Creative Challenge this month!
A detailed close up picture to show the centers of the flowers.

Mini Magazine Holder

Another project I demonstrated at our recent Demonstrator meeting was this adorable mini magazine holder. This is the perfect size to hold 3 X 3 cards and envelopes and would make an adorable gift! Of course I had to use Trendy Trees and Good Morning Sunshine paper again. Can you tell my favorite new stamp set and paper?

Big Shot Class

If you didn't make it to the Big Shot class this past Tuesday you are going to be sad when you see what you missed! Each of the 5 projects used the Big Shot in some way. it's a little hard to see in this photo but we used the texture plates on the background of the card. I demonstrated how to use them and then everyone got to pick which pattern they wanted on their card.
We made a Top Note photo album. We cut top notes out of chipboard and decorated them with some designer paper.

I demonstrated how you can cut a picture with your Big Shot and Top Note die and get it perfectly centered and not cut off an important part of the picture! A tutorial with pictures will be coming soon for that!
Just a front and back cover made with the top note, then sandwich some photos cut with the top note in between, punch a hole through all of them and add a binder ring or tie a loop with ribbon and you have a quick and easy photo album!
I LOVE this card! It was the first one I made with my Trendy Trees set! I had every intention of sending this one in for Stampin Up's monthly contest but time got away from me. I know it would have won!
We made this adorable mini purse, the perfect size to hold a nice Ghiradelli chocolate in. We used the scallop envelop die for this projects, yes you CAN do more with that die than just make an envelope!
Last but not least we made this adorable Sale-A-Bration box. This is one of our new box die cuts, which makes it a cinch to put together! We used the new SAB paper, ribbon and Yummy stamp set. Everyone got to decorate some chocolate to put inside, and eat that night too!

Make sure you don't miss out on these great projects next time! Be sure to check my calendar for all of my upcoming class in March and April. If you can't make it but would like to order a kit, please just RSVP by the date listed and I will get a kit out to you to make in your free time!

Stationary Boxes

Everyone went crazy for these Stationary Boxes at our recent Demonstrator meeting. I promised I would post the pictures of ones I have made as well as where to find the instructions. I got the instructions from Jackie Topa's blog. Click here for the directions to make your own, they are clear cut and beautifully done! http://jackietopa.typepad.com/Stationary.pdf I will learn how to make a nice pretty link in the future, but at least that link will get you where you want to go for now! Hawaiin Papya Stationary box insides, 3 cards, 3 tags and 3 3 X 3 cards perfect for attaching to gifts

More top Note treat boxes

Here are the Christmas Top Note treat boxes I created this year. Frosty and Rudolph were my own personal creation, I was inspired from many other places for the gingerbread, tree and Santa boxes.
Here are the "monster" boxes I made for Halloween, I got lots of inspiration from all over for these guys, but the Frankenstein and Mrs. Frankenstein boxes started my obsession with making the boxes and spurred me to create all the Christmas boxes. The original Frankenstein treat box can be found on Cambria Turnbow's blog.

Top Note Treat Box

I demonstrated how to make this Top Note treat box at our recent Stampin Up group meeting. I made 5 different variations of the box to show how versatile it is. See my other post of all the holiday boxes I made before these. A tutorial with pictures will be coming up very soon!
