New Release!! Introducing "Monkey Business"

I am so excited to release my newest kit! There are a few reasons for my excitement...number 1 is well that I have a new kit finished...and this one gave me a challenge at times...had a little bit of a creative block but powere through and I LOVE how it turned out! Another reason I am so excited is because it's a MONKEY kit! I don't know about you, but we are HUGE monkey fans here, I mean HUGE! It all goes back to my husband's childhood "thing" which is(who is?) "Fred" his monkey. I will have to post a picture so you can see this *lovely* stuffed animal that still lives with us! Anyway, my oldest got his very first monkey at just 2 weeks old and monkeys have kind of become a thing around here. I even hand painted a monkey mural on his bedroom wall to match his bedding when he turned 1 (I'll have to post a picture of that now too won't I?) So flash forward, we have moved, oldest got his outspace room and youngest got the monkey bedding passed down to him for his very own monkey bedroom. So I got to work creating some adorable monkeys to hang on his wall as well as an 8 foot tall palm tree...and thus this kit was born! The colors match his room, and these adorable little monkeys are the ones that are on his wall in his room! And with my our love of monkeys and my year of digi scrapping I have yet to find an adorable monkey kit that was "just what I needed" (If you have a seriously adorable monkey kit out there, I probably just never found it!) So if you are a fan of monkeys too, maybe this is that adorable monkey kit you have been looking for too! So here it is, and I am probably going to say this with each new kit but I think this is my favorite one so far....hee hee! The kit is big, with 2 alphabets 146 Elelments and 32 Papers. I also have matching quick pages, Brag Book and my favorite...the matching Titles (they are the CUTEST!) And of course it's all bundled up in a BIG bundle with some savings if you have to have it all! I hope you enjoy!

THE CAKE! and Final Day of Love Bots Brag Book!

One thing I will always do for my kids for their birthday is make them a very special cake. They can choose whatever they would like and that's what they will get. Even if I eventually stop throwing big parties, and stop the decorations, they will always get a fun cake. And this year was no exception! To go with the knights and dragons theme, of course we needed a Medieval Fortress cake! And of course I digi scrapped it...wait....??? digi scrappin a cake? YEP! Here you see my brave knight protecting the castle, scroll down to see up close photos so you can see what digi scrapping I did on the cake!

The windows, door, tower wrap around, blue cones and flags are all photos! I measured everything out that I needed and created it digitally, had it printed out at Sams, cut it out and stuck it to the cake!

I couldn't have made it look that great if I would have had to cover the towers in fondant and shape all those windows out of that stuff! I could barely cover the cake with that impossible to work with stuff! So yes it took some time to do all those little pieces, but not nearly as much time as it WOULD have taken! So I am thankful for digi scrapping cause it saved me boat loads of time on this cake!!!

Fan giveaway!

I am having a giveaway! I have 2 of my Love Bots mailboxes, already printed out (from Sams, so really really nice!) ready to assemble for you. I will give 1 out to 2 lucky facebook fans when I hit 50 fans! So if you aren't a fan, become one for your chance, and if you are a fan suggest to friends so we can get to 50 and I can give them out!

Dragon Decorations and Love Bots Brag Book Day 9

Well I loved the little dragons I made for the birthday signs and figured I needed to find a way to tie them in some more. They were probably the most work out of all the decorations because I had to hand cut them all out..a total of 15 dragons. Yuck! But the end result was worth it. I made 1 of each to stand on the fireplace mantel...and how cute are they?! And then I needed 2 of each dragon so I could glue them back to back and hang them from different places. So if you have never tried the handy dandy flip horizontal tool in PSE this is what it's used for! I put my dragon on my blank page and sized him how I wanted...saved him once and then went to Image...Rotata...flip layer horizontal, and it gives the reverse image so that when I glued them together they matched up. So you can see them hanging from the lights and streamers from the ceiling. They added that little extra touch...but I don't think I would cut them out again!

Cupcake wrappers and toppers and Love Bots Day 8

Another way I tied in our theme was with matching cupcake wrappers and toppers. I kept the wrappers simple at just a solid paper and border color, and did 4 different topper designs. Instead of just gluing a toothpick onto the back of one of my punched circles I sandwiched them together so there was a pretty design on both sides. And of course I let the little guy put all the cupcake pokes in, he had fun helping decorate :)

School birthday treats and Love Bots Brag Book Day 7

So for preschool they let the kids bring in special birthday treats to hand out on their special day. But they have to be prepackaged, nothing homemade. So Zach requested Teddy Grahams and I got to work thinking about a fun way to fancy them up a bit, I didn't want to just send in bags of teddy grahams, seemed a little too boring to me :) So what I did was made a 4 X 6 file that I could fold in half and staple onto the bags. I think they turned out pretty cute! Here you can see the whole thing

A close up of the front image

A close up of the back image. I thought it was a fun way to give out treats, maybe the kids noticed..maybe they didn't. But Zach did, and so did I!

New Releases!!! Valentine's Printables!

I have some exciting and fun new releases this afternoon! I have been working on these since I released the Love Bots kit! I have ot admit I had a great time playing with the kit, and I probably could have come up with even more...but I had to stop somewhere! I have 5 yes FIVE different printable packs for you! I'll go through each of them...and you bet...at the very end I bundled them all up for the ultimate VALENTINE PARTY PACK with over 40 pieces for just $7.50! You could use these for all sorts of Valentine's fun! I really hope you like these :) On to what we have! First up is a Love Bot Memory/Match Game. Included is a printable front of the cards (all the same design) and then the backs have 2 of each of 9 robots to print and cut out. Simply glue the fronts and backs together and play memory/match Valentine robot style!Next is probably one of my favorites! I designed 3 different mailboxes, you don't need anything but your printer, these are completely hand made! And the best part is that you can mix and match the pieces from each mail box for tons of different combinations of unique mailboxes! This next one would be great for a classroom Valentine's Day party, or just a fun way to jazz up some cupcakes for you Valentine. Included are 4 different cupcake wrapper designs, and 4 different cupcake topper designs! For the Toppers you need a 1 and 3/4 inch punch to punch out the circles, then glue 2 together with a toothpick or lollipop stick sandwhiched in between them...stick them in your cupcakes (or anything else you can think of!) and have some fun! This next one is what I will be using for my son's Valentine's this year. It's a candy popper, you can fill it with anything that will fit though. simply cut it out, roll it up and tie the ends shut...it's simple and totally cute! We will be filling ours with home made heart shaped crayons (I like to try and give something other than candy!)And last but not least is an adorable Valentine's Day Tic Tac Toe game, but to make it even more exciting than it already it I made a matching bag topper that you can package the game up with...or fill your bag with candy and use the topper that way too. The great thing is the bag topper fits your standard quart size zip loc bag so you don't need anything fancy. Just fille you bag, fold over the topper and staple or tape it shut! I LOVE how simple and cute this is, hey you could use it for your child's non candy Valentine this year! Each printable pack is just $2.00 each and each one is offered seperately. Or if you like everything and you want it all you can buy the PARTY PACK for just $7.50!!! That's like getting 2 packs for free and then some! So what are you waiting for...get printing and get creating and having some Valentine fun! Enjoy!

Pop Bottle wrappers and Love Bots day 6

So another way I decorated and tied in our theme of knights and dragons was by making some quick and cute wrappers for the pop bottles. I mean why do they have to be their usual wrappers? So what I did was measure how tall they were...which I think was 3 inches, I created a wrap that was 3 X 11 and then I made a sqaure label to cover where the ends didn't meet from the wrapper and there you have it! Just a fun, quick and cute decoration, I printed them out on my home printer too :) Oh and yes you can see Dimple the Dragon even made an appearance on one of the labels!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! and Love Bots Day 5

So I think this has to be one of my most favorite reasons for knowing how to digi scrap (besides the cool rooms I have made for my kids of course!) How about this great custom birthday poster! I created this as a 16 X 20 and had it printed up at Sams for a whopping 2.95!!! I saw other "custom" birthday posters out there on the web and they are around $30 each! And they aren't nearly as cool as this...and this completley matches everything else I have been decorating with. So happy 5th Birthday (today) to my amazingly sweet, kind, and caring little boy. My life was changed forever 5 years ago today when I held you for the fist time. You are the best surprise I have ever gotten...ever. I love you baby!

More birthday decorations and Love Bots Day 3

So I made up some 8.5 X 11 signs for different places in the house. I think the Dungeon is my favorite :) Of course it was hung on the door to the basement. The dragon's Lair, of course to the room where the cats will be locked up for the few hours.
And the Water Closet, to the bathroom :) I just wanted to find some fun ways to tie in the theme and decorate the house, more to come so keep coming back! Maybe it wil inspire you to make your own decorations for your next party using you digital scrapbook supplies!
and here is day 3 of the Love Bots Brag Book! Thanks for stopping by today!

Some more birthday fun and Love Bots Freebie Day 2

So the invites were cute...so I had to make sure that the outside of the envelope gave a hint at what was to come. So here are our return address labels that were on the envelope: And then I even printed out some address labels and then re-printed everyone's name and address on them...of course in that great Old English font too :)
